The Town of Bracebridge invites applications from citizens interested in appointment to the following Working Group:
Woodchester Villa Working Group
Two members of the Community are being sought to assist three members of Council and Staff in developing recommendations for the future use of Woodchester Villa.
Woodchester, also known as The Bird House, is an historic octagonal house located at 15 King Street that a 10 acre property overlooking the Muskoka River. The building, constructed in 1882, was the home of woolen manufacturer Henry J. Bird. The octagonal house/building was open to the public as a living museum between 1980 and 2009. In 2009, it was closed as a result of structural damage. Two years of restoration work on the building was completed in early 2016.
