In 2002, Rick and Micky Iutzi moved to Muskoka to purchase Gravenhurst Paint and Wallpaper on the main street of Gravenhurst, On. With experience already owning a paint store in southwestern Ontario, they were excited about their new business venture in Muskoka.
As the store had already been operating as a Benjamin Moore and Para Paint store, all it needed was their personal touch and they were quick to provide continued quality of service. In 2005, they decided to embark on another adventure into the lighting industry by becoming part of the Living Lighting franchise. They quickly realized that blending these two product types together in one store was a perfect match. Colour is affected by light and the right light is necessary to fully appreciate beautiful colour.
In 2006, Rick and Micky decided to open their second location in Bracebridge, On., on Muskoka Rd 118 W. This location operated as a Para Paint and Living Lighting store until the addition of the Benjamin Moore brand in 2015. Having a second lighting showroom provided an opportunity to showcase different designs and finishes from a wide variety of suppliers to increase the selection available to customers in Muskoka.
