Having lived and worked in India for 2 years, I became intrigued with the old world Indian crafts of hand screen and block printing, and gained a huge appreciation for the incredible artisans who bring colour to life.
Kala is a Hindi word meaning “Art”, and is also a term for organic cotton ethically sourced and produced in the Kutch region of India, known as “Kala cotton”.
Our store is located in downtown Bracebridge, known as the “Heart of Muskoka”. Our nature-inspired-prints are perfectly suited to cottage country as they pair beautifully with wood and bring the beauty and colour of the outdoors into your home or cottage.
Our cotton range includes colourful kimonos & nightwear and we also carry a collection of artisanal ceramics, wood products, candles and gift items.
Shop in store at 54 Manitoba St, Bracebridge or visit our online store.
