RTO12 / Explorers’ Edge has partnered with the District of Muskoka and the Town of Gravenhurst to investigate the possibility of the introduction of CATSA security screening at the Muskoka Airport.
RTO12 envisions that regional air service will be a significant catalyst to tourism destination building and economic development in the region, the result of marketing to and the influx of visitors from U.S. destinations in particular.
In order to understand the broader implications our team will be holding two public consultations at the airport to examine and better understand the implications of the introduction of commercial flights to the region during the popular regional “summer season” (over a 12 week period June-August, 2017).
